Injunction on Federal Funding of Stem Cell Research

On August 23, 2010, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth issued a preliminary injunction against federal funding of embryonic stem cell research, finding that President Obama’s current policy violates the 1996 Dickey-Wicker Amendment banning federal funding for any research that destroys human embryos.
