ABN Project Director Dr. Carol Lockhart has a wide knowledge of and experience with the Arizona health care community and project development. She is responsible for developing and managing the “community,” planning and implementing programs and projects and defining and moving the ABN bioethics agenda.
Carol is contracting with SLHI to manage the project as part of her consulting firm, C. Lockhart Associates, a health systems relations and policy-consulting firm with a long history of working with local, national and international organizations planning, implementing and evaluating health and public health policy and program change. Specific to this area, between 1999-2001 she was contracted with Hospice of the Valley to act as Principal Investigator/Project Director for the PhoenixCare Project, a Promoting Excellence In End-of-Life Care Project funded by the, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Dr. Lockhart is also a Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Nursing in Memphis where she teaches health economics and health policy in the Doctor of Nursing Practice distance-learning program.
